Massachusetts Consumer Protection

Did you know that Massachusetts has some great laws to protect Massachusetts consumers from “unfair and deceptive” business practices?  Most consumers aren’t aware that they have may rights under Massachusetts Consumer Protection laws, otherwise known as Chapter 93A.

“Unfair & deceptive” is not fully defined by the law or by the courts, allowing each case to be evaluated individually.  A determination of whether your particular case may be considered an example of “unfair & deceptive” business practices can be made by a skilled consumer protection attorney.

If you believe you have been wronged by a business who may be engaging in unfair and deceptive business practices, contact a consumer protection attorney as soon as possible to discuss your case and walk you through the next steps.  With a 93A claim, the law allows you to potentially recover any attorney fees you incur if you are successful.

93A claims also allow you to potentially recover up to three times the amount of your damages if the violation by the Massachusetts business is found to be “willful.”
